Artist & Designer

Raised in a family that has moved around frequently, art was one of the few passions I was able to have consistency with since I was a young girl. When I finally settled in Houston, Texas, I studied at a magnet arts high school (Kinder HSPVA) and experimented with a variety of mediums like woodworking, metalworking, graphic design & printmaking, digital media, painting, etc. This led to me applying to the Rhode Island School of Design where I currently study industrial design with a concentration in drawing and nature, culture/sustainability studies. Although my start was with drawing, I’ve fallen in love with the design process and research-based design of products, meeting form with function. I still maintain my painting & drawing practice on the side as I am a very multidisciplinary artist, which I often times carry into my design works. Many of my pieces and projects are inspired by biophilia or natural forms.
